We'll see you at Bunnings Pacific Cup Touch Tournament in a few weeks!

Proudly supporting Rise+Shine Josiah Mika Foundation

Last week we shared news of a special partnership for this years Pacific Cup.

As a Tournament, we always wanted to find a way to celebrate the life of young Josiah Mika and together alongside our participating nations, we believe we have landed on the perfect way to contribute to his legacy and spirit living on.

With the blessing of the Foundation Board, of which Josiah's Mum & Dad, Dr Julie Wharewera-Mika & Faamoetauloa Jerome Mika are Trustees, we will koha $1 from every player registration fee to the Rise+Shine Josiah Mika Foundation.

The 'Rise+Shine Josiah Mika Foundation' was established in loving memory of Josiah (Sunrise 20/09/2010 - Sunset 16/05/2020), who died at 9 years from a rare neurological condition that effects completely healthy children.

The overarching vision of the Foundation is to improve wellbeing equity for children and young people in Aotearoa, particularly in South Auckland and the Eastern Bay of Plenty (where the whānau have close connections). One of the ways this will be done is through sport - something young Josiah was hugely passionate about.

Josiah loved touch, and loved representing Samoa with his brothers in 2019. His team, even took home Samoa's only title that year! His smile was the real prize, and we're going to miss that cheeky grin in November.

You're always in our hearts, Josiah. Thank you to the Foundation Board and the Mika aiga for allowing us to contribute.

On behalf of all of our Nations, thank you.
